Dr. med. Thomas Ermert

Thomas Ermert graduated in medicine 1999 at the University of Münster, Germany. He started his clinical training at the Department of Anesthesiology, Intensive Care and Pain Therapy at the University Hospital Münster.
In 2005 he obtained his doctorate and received his national board certification in Anaesthesiology.

2009 Dr. Ermert was promoted senior physician at the University Hospital Münster. First, he was responsible for the anaesthesiological team at the department of cardiac surgery and neurosurgery.
Since 2012 he is leading the anaesthesiological team at the department for orthopedics.

Dr. Ermert is the chief training manager of the ultrasound guided regional anesthesia at the hospital and conducts regularly advanced trainings nationwide, which are certified by the German Medical Association, the DGAI as well as the DEGUM . He obtained his special qualifications in emergency medicine, special intensive care and medical quality management.

Since 2006, Dr. Ermert is a chief emergency physician and became 2010 a member of the steering group of the emergency physicians task force of the city of Münster.

In 2007 he was trained as a specialized doctor for blood transfusions and medical manager for blood banks. Additionally he gained his qualifications as a medical manager for hospital hygiene and became medical deputy chief manager for hospital hygiene at the university hospital Münster.

Since 2011 Dr. Ermert has been an active member in the DEGUM and is a certified instructor level II.

Since 2014 Dr. Ermert accompanied the section office of Anaesthesiology of the DEGUM as a deputy section chief. He is a member of the DGAI subcommittee for regional anaesthesia of the national German congress of anaesthesiology.
